VIRAL VIDEO: Nike’s ‘Winner Stays’ World Cup Video

The World cup season is here again and its that time brands take full advantage of the competition. Nike is one of those brands that have produced several viral videos for the World Cup. The most viewed is the four-minute “Winner Stays” video which has generated over 49 million views. It opens with a group of kids playing a game of soccer. The kids envision themselves as famous players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney and the pick-up game among friends on a soccer field transforms into a high-profile event played by soccer superstars in a stadium packed with fans. Messrs. Ronaldo and Rooney are among the more than one dozen soccer players featured in the ad, which is Nike’s second video for its “Risk Everything” World Cup campaign that launched on April 1. Other special guests in the ad include NBA celebrity Kobe Bryant and The Incredible Hulk.
