Fayrouz PET Berths in Abuja, Kaduna

After the successful mega launch of three new products in Lagos at an explosive event tagged “Hat Trick” 11-11-11, leading brewer of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in the country, Nigerian Breweries plc (NB), has in the same spirit unveiled one of the products; Fayrouz PET bottle in the Federal capital territory, Abuja and Kaduna, the commercial hub of Northern Nigeria.

Speaking at the unveiling of the PET bottle at the Nicon Luxury Hotel Abuja, Hubert Eze, Sales Director of NB plc said the introduction of the bottle is a milestone in the development of the brand in the country. “Prior to the unveiling of the PET bottle, consumers were constrained because both bottle and Cans have their limitations in that once opened they must be consumed immediately. But with the introduction of the PET, consumers can now take the drink at their own speed since it has a reseal able cap that will always keep the product fresh.” He said

Describing the PET bottle as a style statement, Eze said the upwardly mobile yuppies now have the privilege of carrying the brand in their car, or in their hand bags for the ladies and workers can also keep it on their tables while they work.

Nnenna Ifebigh-Hemeson, Senior Brand Manager, Fayrouz strongly feels the introduction of the PET bottle will further consolidate market dominance. She stated that the brand which comes in pear and pineapple flavours has been widely accepted by consumers within a very short time. Apart from providing unmatched refreshment, the senior brand manager said the brand is distinct, Adventurous, and fun because it brings people together. Furthermore, its provision of unconventional fun, its daring nature which makes it stand out is what makes its high quality standard. “With a confident brand character of, progress, pushing the limits, open and warm it is little wonder that it is the preferred soft drink for adults.” Hemeson added.
