GTBank Extends E-banking Channels With New Package

In line with its efforts to make banking more convenient and value adding, one of the leading innovative banks in Africa, Guaranty Trust Bank, has upgraded its Internet Banking platform to now provide “Instant payments to other banks” for its new and existing customers.

This new service enables customers to transfer funds from your GTBank account to beneficiary accounts in other banks within Nigeria in seconds. It is an online real-time platform that allows you to confirm the beneficiary’s account details before consummating your transfers, which can be done from anywhere in the world.

A token (a security device for online transfers/payments) is required to complete all Instant Payment transfers to other banks in Nigeria. This can be obtained from any of GTbank branch nationwide.

Last week, the bank also introduced a value-adding service which enables customers to send and receive funds to and from any GTBank subsidiary in West Africa with the GTBank International Money Transfer (GTMT). GTBank account and non-account holders can walk into any of GTBank’s branches to transfer and receive funds in Dollars to and from any of GTBank’s subsidiaries in Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Liberia.

According to the bank, it is an effective way of paying for goods and services. Money Transfer is denominated in US Dollars with a maximum of $10,000.00 per transfer and beneficiaries can be paid in US Dollars or local currency – Cedis, Dalasi, Leone and Naira (Beneficiaries can only be paid in local currency in Ghana).

It is an easy, convenient and secure means of transferring funds which enables easy tracking of funds, eliminates the risk of travelling with cash and ideal for GTBank account and non-account holders.
